Family game nights are fun, but how often should you have them? Well I would say the answer depends on you and your family. Here are some things to consider when deciding how often to have a family game night?

1. How busy are you?

One of the first things you want to consider is how often can you do a family game night and still take care of everything you need to? If you are the busiest person in the world, well maybe you can only have a game night once a week or even less.

If you have a ton of free time, maybe you want to go crazy and make the game 5 nights a week, or something like that. It depends on you.

2. How old are your kids?

Obviously the older your kids get the less time they want to spend with their parents. Its a sad truth but a truth none the less. If you have little kids youll probably be able to play more often. Little kids are always around.

3. Do you even want to set a time and date?

I never realized this, but it makes sense. Most families just have a game night as a spontaneous thing. Maybe that suits you better. In this case you dont really need to plan how often because it will be as often as everyone wants to play.

Personally I like to plan things out so I know what is going to be happening.
Not planning is not knowing.

It really depends on a lot of factors when trying to decide how often you should have a family game night. But the important thing is you are all getting together and having quality time. This topic shouldnt be the bulk of your attention. It should be your family.
