Of course this is the first and most important step. If no one is there you cant play. This can be easier said than done however. Chances are you are very busy in your life. And if you have older kids chances are they have a busy schedule of their own.

So how do you get people there? Well the first step is to plan it. Set a date that you will both all be able to get together and have a family night. Call it something fun like a fun game night.

The next step is option able. If you want to invite other people there you want to call them in advance and invite them. You can also see if your kids want to invite anyone to play as well.

3. Deciding what to play

Once you have people and have set a date you should decide what to play. This depends on who is coming and how old your kids are. If you have little kids you want to play a game that is suitable for little kids like mousetrap, or dont wake daddy.

If your kids are older you might want to play something a little more advanced like monopoly or even risk.

4. Bringing Snacks

Snacks are always nice to have. People like to munch on things so having some trail mix or cut up apples can be a good thing.

5. Remember to have fun and make sure others are as well

The goal of family game night is to have fun and bring the family closer together, remember that. Be happy and enjoy yourself.
